Inner Peace for Uncertain Times
with Joan Boccafola
Uncertainty is all around us, whether it’s our health, finances, relationships, or the current political climate. The truth is that much of what lies ahead in life remains uncertain. How do we remain calm and connected to our inner peace in these unsettling times? Our tendency might be to become anxious or controlling about this uncertainty which never really helps. In reality, these emotions add more fuel to the fire by increasing our negativity and depleting our joy, happiness and peace of mind.
This series will explore the negative states of mind that destroy our inner peace and how to transform these states from negative to positive. Inner peace is the source of all happiness.

How to Handle Other People’s Anger
with Eric Shyman
Being confronted with other people's anger can be deeply challenging. Often our instincts tell us to respond to others' anger with our own, especially if we feel that it is justified. But Buddha gives us an alternative: allow others' anger to cause us to notice their suffering and develop compassion for them. This series will address the deep spiritual value of transforming anger into compassion, helping us to break the cycle of polarization and harm that anger causes.

The Art of Letting Go
with Jason DeLeo
We can spend most of our lives seeking happiness by trying to accumulate all of the things we think will make us happy, and trying to get rid of all of the things we think will make us unhappy. When we take a deeper look, we realize that we're no closer to happiness than we were before. Why? Buddha teaches us true happiness is within our reach, but its causes can only be found by turning inward and learning to improve the quality of our own minds. Through meditation practice, over time, we gain the ability to remain at ease with whatever life throws at us. No prior meditation experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome!
Dates: Fridays 7:00-8:00pm
